Psalm 32:7 ►
(English Standard Version)
You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance.
It’s a gorgeous morning and I am determined to capture the camilla in the morning light but the wind is unrelentlous and every picture is out of focus as the branches are tossing the flowers about with the wind. Every picture, that is except the ones growing down deep inside the bush. Inside the bush it is calm and protected from the wind. It reminded me of the verse in James that councils don’t be double minded. The double minded is like a cork on the ocean without an anchor bobbing about and unstable in all it’s ways. But the one who is tucked into Jesus and relying on His promises is secure, unruffled, unmoved by the winds of change.
Jesus, You, alone, are dependable, unchanging, The Good Shepherd. You are the Source of all Wisdom, knowledge, power and love. You invite us to cast all our worries on You and entrust our future and life into Your hands. You posess the words of life and there is none beside You in our hearts. We commit our ways to you and lay aside all that would distract, annoy, intimidate or raise itself higher than You. You lead us in paths of righteousness for Your Name’s sake. Your reputation is on the line and may we never entertain thoughts of fear for You are in control!
