Upon this Rock

Upon this Rock I build My Church, You said, Jesus. You, Jesus,  call us living stones each fitted together, interdependent  facets of the diamond that brings a unique reflection of Your love and kindness, joy, hope, and authority wherever You send us.

You said where You send us, Jesus, You call us to fish for men.  Our bait is Your sensitive compassion and sense of justice to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free.  We don’t go with lofty words of wisdom but armed with the message from our God of Jesus Christ and Him crusified.  Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us.  And as You foretold, Jesus, You rose the 3rd day proving Your authority over life and death.  You are God now ever living to intercede for us.

You call us to turn from death, from the curse and receive Your life.  Why should we die the second death when You did that for us?

In You, Jesus, we are alive and thrive no matter our circumstances for You have planted Your DNA, the Holy Spirit, inside all who receive your gift of eternal life.  You are not ashamed to call us God’s sons and daughters and co-heirs of all that the Kingdom of Heaven offers.  In Your sacrifice we are forgiven, made whole, declared totally acceptable to God and given the right to be called children of God and heirs of God.  Co-heirs with You.  Amazing!

Happy Resurrection day Jesus!  Woohoo!
